TechCrunch successfully guesses at Google Super Bowl commercial

Google did indeed have a commercial in the Super Bowl. TechCrunch guessed there would be one based on a fairly vague tweet from Google CEO Eric Schmidt., as we noted in our post about the Google Super Bowl commercial.

TechCrunch’s further speculation that it might be a Google Chrome ad was wrong. And that it would be an ad for the Nexus One — also wrong.

But the blog’s final update in which it points to John Battelle‘s prediction was correct. Google played its adorable Parisian Love spot during the third quarter. In unison now: aww.

Because TechCrunch got the core prediction right, we’ll give them Cred. But cool it on the predictions on top of rumors. It makes you look like asses.
